Comments (English): Krk, and Croatia in general, are beautiful destinations, but can be difficult to travel in. In many cases you require a car to see attractions and if you're young and looking to stay in hostels, these aren't always available. Hostel Krk was the only hostel in Krk town and it doesn't seem like they make a huge effort to improve things, perhaps given there is no competition. We didn't have a working light in our room and we were given a small desk lamp which then took up the only plug point in the room. There were also a few cockroaches found in the hostel. However, most of the staff were very friendly, the breakfast was very basic but being buffet style, you could eat as much as you needed, and they cater the number of travellers in your group to the beds in the room so my friend and I got our own space. Pretty expensive as a hostel, but again, they have no competition on the island so you don't have much choice if you want to stay in the town. The location is amazing!
